Tipsy Russell!

I Can Haz Date...
So I have my big date today! I'm even taking off half of the day (why not... I still have 13 vacation days left that I have to use before July 1)...

I'm picking him up... In doing so, I'm going to present him with some flowers... Yeah, corny... But suck it... I like to give flowers. This is my second date in 7 years.

We're going to head to the Conservatory at Belle Isle for a bit. He displayed interest in going there... Everything else closes at 5 on Wednesdays. I hate this town sometimes. Anyway, he bikes quite a bit on Belle Isle. He said he's never really gone into any of the structures there. I go there quite often. I guess today is showing him different parts of Detroit he doesn't know about (more in the vein of showing him my side).

We're then going to dinner... Not sure where (I have ideas, BBQ - Italian... Crepes). I was going to take him on one of the river boats but they are not active for another few weeks. After dinner I'm taking him to get some dessert in Greektown... Then we're heading back to his turf. We can meet up with his friends, or take a walk if it's not raining, or... who knows! If it ends early it ends early. :) I'm going to try to be good and keep this is at a traditional date. I said that with Jeff though, and I ended up spending the night at his place. =/ AHHHH!

I'm somewhat guarded, but he's pretty much everything I would want in a guy... He's successful, loves his family, has a great sense of humor, he's cute, he has great friends, and he's a total dork! :) He's a little more sporty than I am, but even the things he does (like tennis and bike riding) are things I used to do back in the day. =) Ah well... Off to find flowers.
